Intentions
In this proposal pdf for Quadreal at Space house, I focused on the refined brutalist architecture of the building, and created a document around 100 pages long that exemplified these two qualities; refinement and brutalism.
Execution
Brutalism came through in use of International Style typography (Helvetica) and a limited document colour palette of black, white and beige. A square and circle geometric motif in the top corner added to this, and the strict modernist document grid supported it. A supporting palette of pastel colours to delimit diagram shapes was used as a contemporary counterpoint to the narrow main palette to add visual interest. Refinement was exemplified by the strict grid, which made successive pages feel satisfying and ordered, and by the browns and neutrals that were interpolated through the document. We won the project, and it will be completed soon.
