Intentions
The poster was designed to advertise an electronic music night in Salford on the internet and social media, so the goal was to capture eyes, generate interest, and ultimately sell tickets. The design also attempted to embody the feeling of listening to the music that would be played on the night.
Execution
A Suitably morbid skull was sourced from Wikimedia Commons and boxed in Big Caslon caps were used over it, in formations mimicking a scrabble board or wordsearch. This disorientating typography felt appropriate for the music that Aya makes.
